Tiny Clothes for Tiny People

Like the title suggests, this week I’d like to share the tiny clothes I’m working on with the Yarn Along and Keep Calm and Craft On. Don’t think that I forgot about the Dijon Top I’m making for my friend though – that’s still in the works. Who doesn’t love to have several projects on the needles at once, right?

In addition to that, I’ve cast on a baby sweater for my friend Brianna’s new niece, soon to be followed by one for her nephew. I think I mentioned them in this post. For the girl, I’m making “A Simple Baby Pullover” in Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn in “Skydiver.” The lady at  my LYS suggested it as it’s soft and easily washable. So far it’s been really nice to work with.

I also ordered some adorable flower buttons from and I think they’ll go with it really well. I can’t wait to finish this adorable little piece! Baby knitting is so gratifying.

As for what I’m reading, I’m still working on The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. It just gets more and more interesting, better and better. Even though I’m not even halfway through, I would highly recommend this book.

I also wanted to say that I am just so overwhelmed with the support and enthusiasm I received about my Trellis Top! So many people said such nice things about it, and so many people downloaded the pattern. I am just so excited that you all liked it, and hope that it’s an easy and fun knit for anyone who downloaded it. You can read more about it in my last Yarn Along post if you’re interested in the process at all.

It’s really exciting to have so many projects in the works. I’m cooking up ideas for a pair of beachy sweatpants for Anna (special request by her). I’ve got some drawings and ordered a whole pile of yarn, so when I’m done with the baby knits I’ll be working on designing and knitting those. Stay tuned!
