Stitching and Painting (Mostly Painting)

Joining in again this week for Yarn Along and Keep Calm and Craft On.

This week, I’m still working on my Alana Tank test knit for Rachel, and I’ve started a new book – All The Light We Cannot See. I’ve heard great things about it, and my mother kindly let me borrow her copy. I’ve only just started, so I don’t really know how I feel about it yet, but so far, so good!

I also added elbow patches to the Leaves, Or Not sweater for Brianna’s nephew per Brianna’s request, and I think it came out adorable. I will definitely be making more of these!

Finally, I got around to putting the little tassel on the Garter Earflap Hat I made for Brianna’s niece, and I think it came out cute as well.

The reason I say “Mostly Painting” in the title today should be obvious by how little knitting progress I’ve made this week. Instead I’ve been spending my energy on working on the Avocado House remodel. We finally finished the beadboard ceiling this weekend, which I’ll be writing more about later this week, and got down to painting the living room and bathroom. It’s really coming along, and I think we’re on track for our November 1 tentative move-in date. More about it soon!
